"yes, it was incredibly worthwhile. I can't imagine having not done it when I had the opportunity to in college. "
Emily T Wellesley College
"I learned to adapt to my environment and not seem an ignorant American."
Sally S Wellesley College
"Oxford provided the BEST experience of my academic and social life. My tutorials were challenging, but yet I was still able to find a balance between work and play. I also got to explore ten countries across the European continent, which I otherwise would have found quite costly to do. I made some truly meaningful friendships wi..."
Yaffa F Wellesley College
"I have a better appreciation of valuing family, friends and health more than Americans seem to on a daily basis due to work constraints and stress. I really want to consider TCD as a grad school option, the cultural differences in Dublin in terms of life attitude make it a difficult option to ignore. "
Kayla S Wellesley College
"I became the person I've been wanting to be. It provided me the space to do so."
Jo T Wellesley College
"Words can't do it justice. As a student of religion and political science interested in Buddhist practice, this program was an excellent fit. Living in a monastery and keeping up with the program's schedule requires considerable discipline but it is entirely worth it. As a result of living and studying within the heart of a Bu..."

"I would choose a different program within this university. My overall study abroad experience was worthwhile because of the people I met and the traveling I got to do. The academic experience was poor and hardly an experience at all. I gained a much broader cultural experience from people who I met from other European countrie..."
Victoria P Wellesley College
"My experience was more than worthwhile. And, because my closest friends happened to also be natives, I left Italy with an impressive knowledge and understanding of the language after arriving in Italy unsure and unconfident in my language skills."
Talia C Wellesley College
"Yes, undoubtedly the best experience and decision of my life. The memories I have have shaped me indelibly. "
Yoolim K Wellesley College
"Studying abroad was probably the best experience of my entire life. I met some of the most interesting people I have ever met, and saw things and places that I will never see anywhere else in the world. Cape Town is the most beautiful city I have ever been to. I hope to go back as soon as possible."
Sonrisa C Wellesley College
"I plan on working in Tokyo when I graduate so I would say this is a good indicator of my experience there. It changed my perspective on being American in a foreign city as well as being American in America. I met so many international people as well as native Japanese people and I feel like you can only get that experience if yo..."
Tama M Wellesley College
"Definitely worthwhile."
Alexandra M Wellesley College
"Absolutely a worthwile education. Maritime politics and environmental impacts mirror that of the world, and the interdisciplinary approach connected all of the dots. I have also made lifelong friends, and great contacts for a career. "
Grace M Wellesley College
"Yes. I gained significant oral language skills, although I find my grammar to be a little lacking. Because I stayed a full year, I've practically fulfilled all the requirements for a secondary Italian major, so I'll be adding that to my first and thereby becoming a double major."
Katherine N Wellesley College
"I loved my time in New Zealand and am so happy that I decided to go there. I experienced a different approach to education and gained a better understanding of geology, different cultures, and life skills. It enforced my love of traveling."
Katharine P Wellesley College
"Yes. I really grasped the cultural differences that lay beneath the surface."
Eliza T Wellesley College
"I could see myself moving here after college, that should say a lot."
Gabriela L Wellesley College
"Gained new language skills, a degree of independence and sufficiency. It was one of the best experiences I've had."
A student Wellesley College

Amy W Wellesley College
"met a greater variety of types of people than I ever have and experienced a new education system "
Olivia O Wellesley College
"Yes, my program was definitely worthwhile. I gained experience in a very different academic milieu, one that I enjoyed greatly. I plan to go back to the UK to pursue further education, because I have benefited from the more open environment that prevails in its institutions. Discussions were, in my opinion, of more value because..."
Mannat J Wellesley College
"It definitely was worthwhile."
Vanessa B Wellesley College
"YES! Improved my Spanish, traveled, learned how to problem solve and live on my own, adapt to different living situations, experienced a different university, made great friends in a different country, etc. "
Sarina S Wellesley College
"It was. I learned a lot about myself, most of which are things about myself that I'm not willing to share."
Katherine P Wellesley College
"I have new perspectives on aspects of British history and literature, academically. I grew a lot socially because I forced myself to step out of my comfort zone by going to a place where I knew no one. I learned a lot about the world from spending time with other international students. "
